**Evening Prayer for the Weary After Job Loss**

Heavenly Father,

I come to You tonight weary in body and soul, carrying the heavy weight of today’s news. The loss of my job feels like a sudden storm, leaving me shaken and uncertain about tomorrow. I am tired, Lord, bone-tired from the shock and the worry.

Yet, even here, I choose to give You thanks. Thank You for being my constant in this change, for the breath in my lungs tonight, and for the promise that You see me in this valley. Thank You for being my provider, not just my employer.

Your Word says, **“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)**. I come to You now, Jesus. I lay down this burden of loss, this anxiety about the future, and this deep weariness. I release it all into Your capable hands.

Please restore my soul. Quiet the racing thoughts and soothe the ache of disappointment. Grant me a deep, healing sleep that mends my body and refreshes my spirit. Help me to truly rest, not in my own understanding, but in Your faithful love.

Tonight, I choose to trust You with this unknown path. I entrust my needs, my family, and my tomorrow to Your care. You are the God who makes a way.

In the quiet of this night, let Your peace, which is beyond my understanding, stand guard over my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Watch over me as I sleep.

In the name of the One who gives rest, Jesus Christ, Amen.
