**Evening Prayer for the Weary After Job Loss** Father, tonight I come to You weary in body and soul, carrying the heavy weight of today’s news. The ground feels unsteady, and my spirit is tired from the shock and the worry. Yet even here, I find a quiet grace to thank You for: for the breath in my lungs tonight, for the roof over my head, and for the truth that my worth was never in a title or a paycheck, but in Your unchanging love for me. Your word meets me in my exhaustion: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, NIV). I cling to this promise now. So I release it all to You—the severed security, the unanswered questions about tomorrow, and this deep fatigue that threatens to pull me under. I lay the burden of providing at Your feet. I surrender the reel of fears playing in my mind. Please, Lord, restore my soul. Quiet the anxious thoughts. Heal the sting of rejection with the balm of Your calling. Grant me a rest tonight that rebuilds and repairs, a sleep untouched by frantic dreams. I choose to entrust this night, and all the uncertain days to come, into Your capable hands. You are my provider, my shepherd. I will not carry this alone. In the name of Jesus, who understands loss and weariness, I pray. Amen.
