**Evening Prayer for a Day of Quarrel**

Lord, as this day closes, I come to You feeling overwhelmed. The echoes of that quarrel still ring in my mind, leaving my heart heavy and my thoughts tangled.

Yet even here, I find a quiet grace to thank You for: the simple safety of this moment, the breath in my lungs, and the truth that no conflict can separate me from Your love.

Your Word meets me in my exhaustion, saying:
> “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)

So I come. I release this strained relationship and every sharp word into Your hands. I lay down my need to be right, my hurt feelings, and the weight of trying to fix what I cannot. I surrender the entire situation—and my overwhelmed heart—to You.

Please calm the storm inside me. Quiet the replay of arguments. Heal where I was wounded and forgive where I was wrong. Grant me the deep, restoring sleep that only You can give, a rest that mends the frayed edges of my soul.

Tonight, I choose to entrust this conflict and all its worry to Your care. I will not carry it into the watches of the night.

In the quiet, let me know Your presence. Guard my heart and mind with the peace of Christ as I sleep. Amen.
