As this Saturday evening settles in, I come before You, Lord. I look back on the week that has passed, examining my thoughts, my words, and my deeds. Please cleanse me, wash away all that has not honored You, and forgive my failings. Remove from my heart and mind all the noise and disturbances of this world. Help me to turn away from mere entertainment and prepare a quiet, sacred space within, a heart ready for You. Plant in me a true and deep longing for Your Word. Stir within my spirit a genuine desire for worship, that I may meet with You tomorrow not out of habit, but with eager expectation. I lift up tomorrow’s gathering to You. Bless the one who will bring Your message. Anoint our time of worship and fellowship, that it may be pleasing to You and nourishing to every soul. “Be still, and know that I am God.” Help me to rest in that truth tonight, to cease striving and simply know You are here. In Jesus Name Amen.
