O Lord, on this most solemn Good Friday morning, I bow in adoration before the Cross, the instrument of our salvation. I stand in awe of the love poured out upon it. My heart is heavy with sorrow for my sins, the very sins that made Your perfect sacrifice necessary. Forgive me, Lord. Grant me the grace, I pray, to unite my own small sufferings with Your holy Passion, that they may find meaning and purpose in Your redemptive love. I lift to You the needs of the whole world, for which You died. Have mercy on all who suffer, all who are lost, and draw every heart to Your wounded side. In this silence, I echo the cry and the hope of Your servant: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?... For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help." In Jesus Name Amen.
