**Morning Prayer for a Weary Heart Facing Job Loss**

Good morning, Lord. I come to You at the start of this new day, weary in spirit and facing the heavy reality of losing my job. I bring both this challenge and my tired heart to You now.

Thank You for the gift of this morning, for breath in my lungs and the steadfast love that meets me here, even in my exhaustion. Thank You that Your mercies are new *today*.

I hold onto Your promise: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28 NIV). I claim this rest for my soul now.

I release to You the weight of my weariness, the fear of the unknown, the shame of loss, and the anxiety about the future. I lay down the burden of proving my worth. I surrender this empty space where my work used to be.

Father, grant me the grace for just this one day. Grant a rest that renews, not just escapes. Give me wisdom to see the next small step, and patience with my own healing process. Let me feel Your nearness as my provider and my peace.

Today, I will choose one small act of faith: I will write down one skill or gift You have given me, to remember my identity is in You, not my title.

I go into this day held by You. May Your strength be my portion, Your guidance my path, and Your presence my comfort. In the name of Jesus, my true security, Amen.
