**Evening Prayer for the Weary After Job Loss**

God, tonight I come to You weary in body and soul. The shock and weight of losing my job today sits heavy on me, and I feel exhausted by the uncertainty ahead.

Yet even here, I thank You for being my constant in this sudden change. Thank You for the strength that carried me through today, and for any word of kindness I received.

Your Word promises, *“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”* (Matthew 11:28, NIV). I come to You now with all of it—the fear, the questions, the tiredness.

I release this day and its difficult news into Your hands. I lay down the burden of figuring it all out tonight. I surrender the anxiety about tomorrow and the grief for what is lost.

Please restore my weary heart. Quiet the racing thoughts. Grant me the deep, physical rest I need, and renew my hope as I sleep. Heal the places in my spirit that feel wounded or afraid.

Tonight, I choose to trust not in a job, but in You, my Provider. I entrust my future, my family, and my needs to Your faithful care. I release my grip and my timeline.

Watch over me through the night, Father. May Your peace, which surpasses my understanding, guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Let me sleep in the safety of Your presence.

In the name of Jesus, my sure foundation, Amen.
