**Evening Prayer for an Overwhelmed Heart**

Father, as this day closes, I come to You honestly. My mind is racing, and my heart feels heavy with anxiety. The worries of today and tomorrow press in, and I feel truly overwhelmed.

Yet even here, I thank You. Thank You for being a safe place where I can bring this tangled mess of thoughts. Thank You for the breath in my lungs this evening, a quiet gift amidst the noise.

Your Word meets me in this state, promising, *“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”* (1 Peter 5:7, NIV). I choose to hold onto this truth now.

So, I release it all to You. I let go of the tight grip I have on my fears, the scenarios I can’t control, and the weight of this overwhelm. I lay every anxious thought at Your feet.

Please calm the storm within me. Quiet my spirit and restore a deep, untroubled peace. Grant me the gift of restful sleep, a sanctuary from the whirlwind of my thoughts.

Tonight, I choose to trust not in my own ability to figure things out, but in Your faithful, watchful care over me and all my concerns.

I receive Your peace now. Watch over me, my loved ones, and this home through the quiet hours. In the calming name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
