We bow before the wood of the Cross, the instrument of our salvation. We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You, for by Your holy Cross You have redeemed the world. My heart is heavy with sorrow for the sins that made this sacrifice necessary. For my pride, my selfishness, my turning away—for all of it, You bore the weight. Grant me the grace, Lord, to unite my small sufferings with Your great Passion. Let my fast, my silence, my own sorrows be joined to Yours, a humble offering of love. For the whole world, for which You died, we pray. For the broken, the lost, the suffering, and the dying. May the blood and water from Your side wash over every nation, every heart. "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?… Yet you are holy… Future generations will be told about the Lord." Into Your wounded hands, we commend our spirits. In Jesus Name Amen.
