God, I come to You utterly broken. My self-image is shattered, my will feels obliterated, and any hope for a future seems extinguished. I am a vessel in pieces. I surrender these broken shards to You: my shattered trust in myself, my fractured willpower, the despair that I will ever be whole again. I release this shame and this crushing failure into Your hands. I have nothing left to hold myself together. I cling to who You are: the healer of the brokenhearted, the one who is close to the crushed in spirit. I do not ask for the strength to fight right now. I ask for the grace to simply be held. Gather my broken pieces. Let me feel Your presence in this total devastation. Plant the first, fragile glimmer of hope that You, the master restorer, can make me whole again. 'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.' (Psalm 34:18)
